Easter Chicks
Chaplain, Neill, at the Children’s hospital with Becky part of the Chaplaincy team, and Rhoda, one of our FFP volunteers, and the knitted Easter chicks.
‘As they do every Easter, our amazing volunteers from the Friends for Parents’ team have handknitted these sweet chicks to mark the occasion. Our very own bunnies, Chaplain, Neill, and Becky, have been handing them out around the wards so everyone can enjoy them.
The knitting was done by FFP members past and present, and MU members and friends of MU – people in retirement homes etc.

Chicken Gift Cards
Send a Chicken Today:
As we enter Lent and our minds turn to our first team of 2025 who will be in Kumi in the two weeks before Easter. As part of our ministry with our partners, in particular Kumi Mothers Union we will be helping with food distribution to poor, elderly and vulnerable families.
Now chocolate does not do too well in Uganda so how about giving a gift of a chicken to someone at home. Any donation will be fine and we will send you a gift card you can give for Easter or any special occasion.
The chicken will help vulnerable families become sustainable. The eggs chicken lay provide a nutritious source of protein for the family to eat and surplus eggs can be sold at market to provide a valuable income.

Handmade Gifts for Filton Children's Centre
Daphne Clutterbuck has been a member of MU for over 10 years. She is a wonderful knitter who makes things for Filton Children's Centre for a long time. Each knitted item is used in their swap shop; (as their children grow, they can return the item and get a larger size). In February, on one visit Daphne gave 40 items and her second visit she handed over 45. The cardigans, jumpers, hats, bootees, blankets and teddies were all gratefully received. The staff always look forward to Daphne's visits and her contributions.
