As this is the beginning of the triennial many people have changed
places and I am just finding my way. Jacky my predecessor has
given me a good base to start from and I am pleased to say a group
of trustees and friends whose support is amazing.
I want to try and give you a flavour in verse of what we do.
Mother’s Union is a fabulous group of Christian people being
Christ’s feet and hands.
The prayers they utter and good deeds they do, supporting the
suffering in many lands.
In Bristol Diocese; AFIA taking those to Western for a day at the
sea.
Welcoming isolated families visiting the prison giving cake and tea.
Promoting campaigns that bring awareness and Justice to fight
those who use in greed anyone.
Supporting women’s refuges, refugees, the homeless, by prayer,
items for all who come.
At Bristol’s Children hospital a group befriends parents who come
with their ill child.
Then Gympansees a place where disabled children are safe,
having fun and play wild.
Prayer is important, and worship too, we need each other for
different gifts.
Fellowship, support, revitalises those who are dealing with life’s
different shifts
In the world Packong-South Sudan, Kutigi and Ijesha North in
Nigeria, and
Southern Nyanza-Kenya, Karnataka Central-Southern India we
prayer for this band
We bring together those on earth with similar thoughts and
passions, although different places of birth,
In MU we say, come JOIN US, JOIN IN and make a difference
transforming lives on this beautiful earth.
